Title: Lucky covers Company.
Post by: dragonsbreath(Paul) on March 02, 2018, 09:46:34 AM
Might be of use to some...i have found a U.K. Company that makes Metal detector protective covers on Facebook,
Called Lucky Covers.
They make covers for most machines to your specifications.
I just had a set for my New Makro Kruzer Multi machine they cost £15 + p & p.
If you send measurements they will make for most machines.
For a little extra they will customise with embroidery design and all in top quality materials
with your choice of colours etc.
To find them just type in Lucky Covers on Facebook page.
Great quality.......PaulB.

Looks good quality Paul, same question as Jerry mate what's it like the Kruzer, or is it still early days. I've been very impressed with reports, more so than the overhyped Equinox in my opinion.... ;)

Hiya Jerry and Paul yes those covers are superb quality.

As regards the Makro Kruzer multi i am totally loving it.
As many are aware i used an Explorer II For many years superb machine but it got a little
too heavy for me and i really wanted something lighter and maybe waterproof so i took a risk
sold my T2 Classic and Explorer to fund this new machine.
And i am very happy with it.
Depends how you set it up but the recovery speed has been tested alongside the mighty Deus and
there is little or no difference in recovery speed....very impressive.
It has three frequencies you can use thats 5....14    and 19 khz.
Plus an all metal mode and a beach mode.
The beach mode is great it GB on wet sand no problem and detects without falseing at very good depth.

Iron can be set up to give a nice grunt low tone and is very good indeed you can adjust the cut off to suit your needs

I usually run in either two tones or three tones depends on the ground i am on.
Has extremely good depth and picks up the smallest item easily.
It comes with a cordless headphone arrangement with NO time lag at all impressive.
The machine is totally waterproof and the only reason i bought meter cover is to protect the screen during transit.
It is very light weighs 1.4 kgs.
Comes with the 11 x 7 inch coil as standard but there are other sizes if you want them.
To finish i have spent two outings testing it against my old Explorer and it found everything the explorer did even at maximum depth.
And at a price of £649 i think its value for money.....Paul.

Thanks for that Paul, it's suprsing from what you say and others it hasn't had the same publicity. I guess I know the answer to that lol. The Kruzer is on my radar for sure..

Thanks for the review on the machine.👍
Does it have rechargeable batteries?
How long do they last?
What is the target separation like?
Cheers

Hello Andre

Yes both machine and headphones have rechargable batteries

How long do they last well a lot depends on how high you set the volume as you use a bit more battery at high volume settings.
I have volume set at maximum of 10 and have detected for 6 hours solid and battery meter still shows half full.
The headphones run on a beep system ie there is a test button on side of headphones and when you press it it gives a series of beeps.
1 beep = charge it soon  and 5 beeps means fully charged again after 6 hours use i get 4 beeps so plenty left.
Separation is very good indeed but you can adjust to your site and particular needs, tested against KING Deus machine
separation and recovery time are equal at least.
Hope that helps Paul.
