Title: Too good to be true?
Post by: dsinfinite on January 25, 2018, 09:02:16 AM
Hey everyone was browsing Amazon looking at different detectors and came across this:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Trac-Hobby-Metal-Detector-Version/dp/B001F2AGU6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1516870010&sr=8-1&keywords=e-trac+old+version (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Trac-Hobby-Metal-Detector-Version/dp/B001F2AGU6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1516870010&sr=8-1&keywords=e-trac+old+version)

Its an E-trac listed for £323 + £6 shipping, I checked his reviews mostly positive but his last two sales were poor reviews.

It seems too good to be true to me what do you think?

If it is the listing I've seen in the past it is too good to be true.

there seems to be a few people who (whenever they are shut down I suppose) open a new account selling, not just metal detectors, but other items, at a price much lower than anyone else. In order to buy the item you have to send them an email and buy it outside of Amazon (so you are not protected) - they always claim they are 'ex-demo' or have some cosmetic marks on them or similar, so that's why they can / have to sell them so cheap.

Don't touch it. It's almost certainly fraud.

Have another look. It is listed as USED. Top right where you press  the ‘buy now’ button.

As Val said, it is listed as used, but the picture is of a new machine. so it makes you wonder what condition it will be in when it arrives.  :-\

I did realise that and thats what my concern was, if they even delivered it what state would it be in not only that they are a company that sells tables so why are they selling used metal detectors
