Title: Battered Roman. Need help identifying!
Post by: spaceonwhite on January 21, 2018, 06:29:03 PM
One of my father's finds from the other day. Bit battered but still a nice little Roman. If anyone has any ideas on identification, it would be very much appreciated. Cheers  ;D

Well it's a Marcus Aurelius. Not sure on size, but portrait shows either sestertius or as. There's a number of different reverses it could be, I've got a Fides Militum type tgat is similar.

No problem - although I have to say both the missus - and sometimes my friends in work - say that it would be nice if I learned something useful!
