Nice little find this afternoon but can’t quite identify it. Thinking a Richard III Penny. Anyone have any ideas? Cheers

Very nice find but I think it may be Edward 3rd the rose in the middle is the give away.
Shame it missing the edges

I was actually thinking Edward IV - the crown is wrong for Ed III.

These later pennies look pretty similar between Ed IV, Rich III and Henry VII - the crown shape apparently can give it away, but I'm never convinced. I've certainly a York mint.

Thanks for your thoughts both. From looking online, I think you’re right Probono  :D
It’s amazing just how similar some of these coins are!
