Thank you Dale and Chris 2 for good wishes.
It would be a shame to break a 72 year record. Mind you I did have my 1st stitch early this year so you never know.  ::)

What have you been up to Val, I'm glad to hear you've had no broken bones I'm not supprised you can't walk yet. It's the body's way of letting you know it needs to rest and heal, so please take it easy......it will knock your confidence I'm sure but give it time.  :-*

Thanks Paul. Re. Your enquiry, no, went ace over apex on the ice and landed on concrete. Awwww ! Banged up left knee and ankle bone, it looks like someone’s pumped it up to tennis ball size.
No more outings for a few days me thinks and worse than that Johns in charge  ::)

Mrs Steptoe, you know better than that, we’re women !
Aching in places I’d forgotten I’d got this morning. Can’t wait to hear what the nurse says when she sees my left hand, already bandaged up from dog bite last Monday. It’s now black.
Beginning to wonder what colour I’m s’posed to be  ::). Thanks for your concern.

Sorry to read about your ice skating escapade Val, and the resultant bruising etc.

Consider yourself extremely fortunate that John didn't video it and then send it off for UK wide humiliation via you've been framed!

Anyway, take care, rest, recuperation and lots of spirits to help keep them spirits up.

Cheers, babe!

 ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Thanks for all the good wishes Guys but I have to report further development.

It’s official, a Spiral fracture of the fibula, lower end on ankle, none weight bearing.

John says if he’s in charge it’s going to be cheese on toast for Xmas dinner !

Ah now wouldn’t that be something eh ! My own personal Cheff.
Mark it on the calendar,  tonight John cooked his 1st ever meal, under supervision of course.
He put a chair in the kitchen for me and I just sat there giving guidance and instructions.
Sausage, egg & chips. Not bad either. BUT he said he’s going to the Co-op in the morning to buy some oven chips  ::)
Don’t worry Nordine, I’m sure we’ll have our Turkey. It has been in the planning for a few weeks. A habit I got into when I was in the meat trade  ;)

Val,

I  haven't popped in for quite a while but spotted this post and wanted to wish you all the best on your recuperation.

And a belated Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Believe me Chris he gets called worse than that.  ::)

Must admit I wouldn’t have managed without him the first week. If you feel sorry for either of us it should be him.

I hope so as well romana. It’s all very frustrating. I feel like I’m in prison !
John has taken us all for a very short walk down the lane 3 times. Must look really amusing. Me holding 3 dog leads and John holding the wheelchair !
