Best of the lot is the Roman bronze coin with the hole drilled out probably during the Saxon period ? the little bronze square mount with the decoration on looks Medieval. May be off a mount or sorts. ;)

Sometimes referred to hangarade mounts due to there shape. I have found quite a few on medieval sites. I totally agree with you, sure it's great to find the more valuable finds but the small items and artefacts some times are more intersting and have an equally important role and connection to history. ;)
