Title: What boots do you were?
Post by: rainyday on October 02, 2017, 06:49:43 PM
I've got a pair of gortex walking boots I've had for ever, great boots but have the metsl eyelets.  I can't get on with wellies so would like, even to get a pair of no metal gortex boots but can't seem to find any.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Cheers
D

Hi there Rainyday,I do actually use both Wellington's and also  a pair of airport  safety  boots...they are totally anti static and the eyelets are non metallic so  I do not interfere with the detector,  purchased  mine through AMAZON  they have a sub heading "Air-safe"
They are extremely lightweight, waterproof and very comfortable.
Just to make sure of their waterproofing I applied extra waterproofing just to be sure..and never had a problem.
Hope this helps...and thanks for reading.....Good hunting..👍

Cheapo Dunlop wellys from shoe zone. Around a tenner, good grip and lasts for ages. Good thing is they don't tend to cut on the sole from spade top edge.
Handy tip with wellys if you roll the tops over compo style they won't rub your shins.
