Title: Back to using a Deus and my local beach hunt paid off Post by: DEUSDAVE on September 03, 2017, 05:03:47 PM Hi all i have gone back to using the Deus after mainly using a Minelab for a few years , but i just could not stand the weight of their CTX 3030 or most of their other models i have used , anyway my second outing took me to my local beach where i quickly recovered a hoard lol ! of 52 two pence pieces then a little later i was rewarded with a 9ct two tone gold wedding ring and also a Pandora bracelet charm not bad , in a total of three trips to the beach using the XP machine i have found over £25 and the jewelry pieces mentioned ,i am very pleased i went back to the Deus .

Partly because of Avalon(?)'s videos, I'm beginning to think Minelab and many others are not too good on high carat gold (although I've found some myself, but never a ring). Just wondering what machine to get purely for gold on beaches... The minelabs Explorer and Sovereign range are in my opinion the finest beach machines made with the exception of pulse machines for beach/gold You just have to dig every ring pull signal you hit... And as for small gold particles i also on beaches have found tiny fragments of broken 9 ct rings which get very brittle as i am sure you know. IMHO Anyway..........Paul Title: Re: Back to using a Deus and my local beach hunt paid off Post by: DEUSDAVE on September 04, 2017, 08:22:30 AM Still have a Minelab myself a predecessor to the GPX range an SD2200d brilliant machine a real keeper i use this on wet sand for the deep stuff and have found a good few rings and coins with it but it is still a bit on the heavy side . Lets hope Minelab's latest machine due to be launched the middle of this month will be a lot less weight to swing and hopefully reasonably priced. Deus Dave.
