Title: Medieval Pasture 2
Post by: celticspikey on August 30, 2017, 07:35:34 PM
Back to pasture again, the field lies alongside a river, and I reckon theses spoons has been dredged from the river possibly, as they all came up alongside it. Unfortunately none of the bowls match the spoon handle close but not quite... One of the bowls appear to be lead/latten ? the other two a bit more tin ? I guess they date to the 14th cent ? unless someone cares to be more accurate !!  ;)

More likely to be pewter (tin / lead mix) :)

Still interesting things to find.
