Title: Few hours out this weekend.
Post by: spaceonwhite on August 28, 2017, 12:40:01 PM
Had a few hours out on a new permission this weekend and pulled up a few interesting pieces plus a hammered coin which has seen better days so I can't make out what it is. Any info on what any of the finds are would be most helpful! Thanks  ;D

Thanks Simond.

I've managed to ID the hammered as an Elizabethan threepence 1562. My 3rd one of 4 hammereds I've found in total. I must have a thing for Elizabethan threepences!!

The round thing with a club shape is off a barrel tap and part of where the key would be entered.

Great finds - well done.

Hi "Spaceonwhite, well done on the finds, love the hammered !!!...He second to last picture reminds me of a Medieval strap end,but thats only if one side is flat,I will try and dig out a picture of something similar which was found on an archeological dig I was on a while ago....happy hunting..👍
