Title: Sovereign GT or Excalibur? Post by: simond on August 23, 2017, 08:18:14 AM I'm looking to start beach detecting again wet and dry and looking to get a dedicated used detector for this. The Minelab Sovereign GT has an excellent reputation but I'm concerned about waterproofing without going to silly Heath Robinson lengths! Is the Excalibur the same but a waterproof version? Or are there better options on the used/new market? Your advice from experience would be greatly appreciated.

Post by: dingdong on August 23, 2017, 01:55:51 PM Hi Simond,yep!.. totally agree with Celticspikey,I owned a MINELAB Sovereign GT and never had any water ingress problems whatsoever,and I used it in all weather's it's a great beach machine,rated probably one of the best wet sand detectors ever produced.
