Title: Could This Be Part Of Bronze Age Axe
Post by: roughneck on August 21, 2017, 04:51:51 PM
Hi Folks
Here's some of mine and Rons latest finds.  The bronze partefact looks like it could be an axe? (My first if it is)  ID please.
Id on the two silver hammered would be good too!  And what about the possible dress hook?  It seems to be decorative and made from lead?
Ron found a lovely sword hanger with only one of the hooks missing.  He'll probably post a decent photo of it.
We also found a few grotty Romans, the usual lead and buttons, old and new coins, and lots of scrap. We'll be out again one day this week so will keep posting (as long as we keep finding things).
Cheers and Happy Digging !!!  Tom.

Nice finds. The cleaner of the two hammered pennies is Edward I Class 9.

Need better pictures or a bit of cleaning for an ID on the other.
