Title: between the showers Post by: relicron on August 07, 2017, 04:45:08 PM Hello guys,hope you all have a good day today,myself and tom went out yesterday on our new permission,thought we'll give a fresh field of cut rape a go,but it was no good the stalks were to thick,never mind they are cutting all the wheat next week,figers crossed as there was a saxon church next to the field we are hoping to go in,so off we headed to a pasture field where we had roman from the last time we done it,got out of the car walked about 20 yards a it p****d down so run like the clappers we did back to the car,then the sun came up,so we tried again,started very quiet,then I had a little roman grot then things started to liven up abit,we finished with 8 roman,tom had a lovely 1930 shilling which was like brand new,then I found a napoleon 111copper coin or token 1864,didn't even know there was a napoleon 111,haha,here are a couple of photos,if anyone could give some id please that would be brill.cheers guys Ron.
