I dug a Glamorgan constabulary button. Wondered if any other members have found any ? It was under my fisher f75 cool as soon as I started ! I only pulled it out for a quick half hour waiting for my daughter in her dance lesson. I have tried to put a pic along with this message but it won't let me which is a bit pants. You have to down size your pics to get them on here. I did it easy on my lap top but still haven't found out how to do it on my iPad. Yes it's a beauty, it was on the first swing and on the surface. There was a lot of ground work in that area a few years ago so it must've been turned up during that time. I'm trying to upload from my iPhone and don't think you can reduce the size of the pic through the settings. I think the site administrator should look into this cause let's be honest we all use our phones to take pics so should be able to upload directly from them. Title: Re: Lovley little find !!!! Post by: Val Beechey on May 12, 2017, 11:43:04 PM Sounds a bit of a fiddle but what I do is attach a pic to an e.mail and send it to myself. I have my e.mail linked to my lap top and iPad and phone. (Hope you're following me)
Once I receive the e.mail on my lap top I can download the pic to the photo file then pick it up on 'paint' to edit (reduce pixels) 600 usually does the job. It does mean that I can only post a pic from my lap top but it works. Apple is great but it is a pain not being able to down size pics. Title: Re: Lovley little find !!!! Post by: Da Monkey on May 13, 2017, 09:34:02 AM Well found :) Its a matter of server space and download bandwidth regarding size of pictures and files, the larger files are in excess of 4MB and if you multiply that across all the users uploads on DW it would use a lot of server space and bandwidth that the site gets charged for. So its better to resize the image and upload a smaller version, also not everyone has broadband speeds, so it can take a while to get the larger pictures. There are Apps on android to resize really easily, so I am sure if you search you will find something for the iPhone. It really only takes a few seconds to resize things. If you download the file or email it to yourself and you have a PC I can recommend irfanview as a great free program to do the job, and a whole lot more...
