Thanks D Title: Re: Just bought a Safari, Help! Post by: Val Beechey on March 19, 2017, 08:49:17 PM Lots and lots of patience. Remember the Safari is a multi frequency machine and has, if I remember, 18 different tones. It takes a long time to get used to but the initial setting you've chosen are good.
The -10 will cut out most iron and the -40 will avoid the 'wrap around' effect of iron in an infested field. There are many other settings to try but I would suggest you try to get hold of an Andy Sabitch Safari & Quantro book. At the beginning the Safari sounds like a manic set of bells but when you get used to it, it will talk to you. It loves silver but is a bit reluctant with gold. Another nice thing with Minelabs, they don't pick up coke. I loved mine and only sold it after a few months off, couldn't handle the weight any more. Best of luck with it. Just had a look on Regtons site. They've got it in stock. When you get on thier site do a search for Andy Sabitch and you'll see it. Or you could phone. It's not cheap at £17.95 but it will tell you all you'll ever want to know. Title: Re: Just bought a Safari, Help!
