Title: FID Membership Post by: Resurgam on March 12, 2017, 08:04:11 PM Renewed my FID membership via the internet in December 2016 but there is still no sign of my 2017 membership card. I have tonight emailed them and hope to have the problem resolved asap.

PayPal took the money from my account on January third and I had anticipated a delay due to the Christmas rush to renew memberships. Emailed them and sent Gill a pm but will phone in a day or two and see what may have gone awry. Thanks for your reply. They usually send a confirmation E.Mail with details of amount and who was paid. If you can print this off I'm sure it would be acceptable as proof of intent even if you don't have your new membership number.

Similar situation with the NCMD, which I paid up for on Monday and don't know when new card will arrive. Card expires on 31st of march but I have all my old cards back to 2013 and could present those cards along with a copy of the PayPal confirmation. But knowing the legal world and insurance companies willingness to wriggle out of covering claims, I could fully understand the organisers if they were unwilling to allow an individual to participate in a rally. Not that I am expecting any claims against me!
