Title: Advice wanted regarding a harness or sling please?
Post by: rainyday on February 19, 2017, 04:29:06 PM
I use a Minelab xterra 705 with an aftermarket coil which makes it heavy.
I bought an Easy Swing Metal Detector Bungee Harness back last year but find it uncomfortable after a while, it pulls under your arm to the point it feels like its cutting off your circulation.

Ive seen the Minelab Pro-Swing 45 but its over £100!
what do you lads use?
Thanks

Hi there "Rainyday"...Yes I know exactly what you mean, the easy swing certainly does cut you under the arm and is very uncomfortable to use after a while, however I purchased a  "Pro-tectors" harness  through Staffs metal detectors,I think you can also purchase them on eBay.....The support is by way of a very good quality canvas type fully adjustable, light weight waistcoat, very strong and very light and comfortable to wear,it has fully adjustable bungee straps which you can be clipped onto either shoulder...I was able to detect all day wearing one of these, and if I recall they cost about £45:00(ish)...A great piece of kit..And thoroughly recommended.....Hope this helps......Good hunting..👍
