Hope you don't mind I have started this thread for you to add your finds from today.
If we could all add what we found with pictures of anything of interest, so I can compile some pictures for the landowner, he was really interested and spent some time talking to us at the end of the day.
We now have a great site here with a very interested land owner

T2 finds silver again :) (William III 1697 sixpence - love token) also a nice selection of bullets/musket balls. And a very odd hand carved button with what looks like medieval crosses?

nothing much for the two of us today i had  one penny george 5th. happeny. george 6th.spindle whorl. pen knife.  a tiny buckle and the usual scrap but what a beautiful day it was like spring thaks for organising it Mark good day out

Nothing of note for me today, I had 3 William 111 pennies, 3 spindle whorls,  a number of musket balls, buttons. a couple of copper coins too far gone to identify.
lovely day out mind, with as always a great bunch of people.
 It was warm enough to be a spring day

He very kindly donated these to the landowner, who we saw at the end of the day, he was well chuffed with them, he gave them to his son to take to school to show his history teacher, he was also given a number of spindle whorls musket ball and other small items all donated from our members, his face was a picture his small son said next time we go he will be putting his wellies on and coming in the fields with us. great PR folks, thank you.

1862 penny in nice condition because it hadn't been corroded by the soil acid. Georgian halfpenny- which had been badly got at by acid. Couple of musket pistol balls, part of a Georgian fancy belt buckle. Usual buttons and what I thought was a 1st century Roman coin which turned out to be a flat pebble because I had left the target in the hole having been convinced by seeing the flat pebble with my lousy eyesight. Target was a piece of tin can at 9 inches. Age and failing eyesight is not a good combination.

Well done all,was ill myself.was looking fed to this one as I was totally free today originally.

 Thanks Mark it was a good day out and it was nice talking to Tom the landowner, well done Sharkey on his donation to the landowners son. Will post my finds tomorrow when I have cleaned them off.

Sorry for my swift exit today people. Thanks so much for the dig once again Mark, absolutely cracking day. Great to see lots of nice finds, great to hear of the landowner and familys' happiness. Yes I have some good pics of the silvers and also the Jetton and other bits - I will add them on tomorrow. Thanks again

Some cracking finds  :) :), i was so looking forward to this dig as only down the road but yet again my back has let me down, back to doctors on thursday to discuss x-ray results  :'( :'(.

Some cracking finds all round, well done to everyone

It was a great day and a really good site. Many Thanks to Mark for organising and to the land owner. Was nice to see the land owner taking an interest and well done to all those that donated their finds. I dissapeared around 1.30 as I was on call with work. I found several musket and pistol balls, fairly good condition George 3 penny,  found a nice barrel tap key as a surface find, a brownies/guides badge, and the best was a coin weight possibly for a noble or angel as not a lot of detail on it but im still trying to work it out. I'll post pics later this week as I'm away with work at the moment.

What a lovely day, enjoyed it tremendously.
Delighted to find the 17th C pastry Cutter (farmers wife took a photo of it lol)
And the lead soldier brought a smile to my little grandsons face.
It was brilliant to see the farmer and his family so interested in our day.

Sorry for the late arrivals but just got round to photoing my finds (yes I know i'm retired lol), anyway the shilling is 1820 as you can see, the odd pointy thing has a hole through the top and is hollow inside with a lump out of one side, no idea what it is. Lots of different sized lead ammo and lots of lead not on photo, a couple of lead round things one looks like a trade weight and usual buttons etc.
