Title: One very nice find from Sunday...
Post by: Trefor Meirionnydd on December 06, 2016, 03:26:44 PM
Now that I've stopped crying I thought it would be nice to post a couple of pics of the find of my (detecting) life so far...

Trefor, your gesture to return the ring to its rightful owner, Lewis the farmer, was fantastic.  It turned out to be his wedding band that he'd had made from his old Granma's gold.  I'm sure the Gods will look down on you with great favour and give you lots of luck for your future digs.  Very well done .  Cheers.  Tom.

That would make sense now when you said now I've stopped crying.

However what a brilliant thing to have done re-uniting it with it's owner the farmer, Karma will find you for it one day, top job.

Thank you everyone for your kind comments. Hopefully I passed the Detecting God's integrity test. I have to say the farmer did have very big fingers!

I have to be quite honest here and say that up until now I haven't been quite sold on this 'karma' business, however, this little beauty popped up the next time I went out. I know that in the big scheme of things it's not huge but to a noob like me it is fantastic.

I'm not a convert yet but I'll see how it goes  ;)

I tell you what Trefor, that's lovely. I would be more than happy to have found that in such lovely condition.
Well found.

That's a nice one - Chester too by the looks of it.

I'm not a Karma believer myself - but it is sometimes strange how these things happen.

Why for instance have I never found any 17th century tokens until this year - but now I have 5 (four of them Bristol)?

I've had three William 6d this year (and a wild mis-strike shilling) but only one in the previous 8 years?

Anyway, that one is a keeper :D
