Title: Sunshine and Silver
Post by: wittsy1 on October 10, 2016, 01:12:36 PM
What a cracker of a Sunny Sunday it was yesterday and got these 2 to go with it, so well pleased with myself if I may say so. Any ID on the hammered would be appreciated, I think I can go as far as saying it is an Edward but which one and which mint I don't know.

Nicely found that man. The hammered is a bit odd. I reckon it's Edward 3rd but the cross is strange. The bottom section seems to stop short. Wonder what the Gurus will make of it.

Well found

Well done. The hammered is an  Edward I penny, Lincoln mint, Class 3g. Looks like it shows a partial mis-strike resulting in a garbled legend and extra pellets.
