Have you done a Google search for info on the first one. It looks quite modern and most prob. Is a makers badge.
Can't make out much on the second one. Could have been a works token.

The first one has got a figure one on the other side. Just found out that p.w.taylor of  birchend ledbury was a premium beef cattle breeder from around 1880.

I remember many years ago (when I was in the meat trade) we bought half  a prize Scottish Bullock. It arrived with a brass rosette attached to the rump. It had the breeders name on it. Wonder if what you found is similar.

The Birchend token is as you say.  I have one the same.  I actually went to the farm to offer it to the owner.  The farm dwellings/outbuildings are now all residences and the land is owned by a farmer who lives many miles away.  Nice finds by the way. Cheers.  Tom.

Hi D.
My Birchend token has a 5 on the reverse.  I'm guessing they were tokens to spend in the farm shop as the area was a significant hop picking one.  My family spent the harvest picking hops and fruit in the area many years ago.  Nice find.  Did you find yours on the rally held in the area last week?
Cheers
Tom

Yeah it's a hop token. Birchend, Castle Frome. Spent a lot of time on that farm when I was a kid while my mum did the hop tying. She was born in one of the cottages on the farm as her dad was a farm labourer there.
