Title: Some Recent Finds
Post by: roughneck on September 12, 2016, 06:12:12 PM
Hi Folks
Me and Ron had a few finds last weekend.  The token is a Frome Selwood silver 12 pence 1811, there's a Vicky sixpence 1882, a silver  brooch 1885 (hallmarked), a huge key, some weights, a pendant and buckle etc. We had a nice day on pasture and smelly slurried stubble, coffee and a long chat  with the farmer before we started, fresh field mushrooms, fresh eggs and more coffee and biscuits to round the day off.  With travelling we were out for almost 14 hours.  An exhausting long day, but enjoyable all the same and looking forward to our next foray.  Happy digging!!  Tom.

Thanks guys.  It's always nice to find a bit of an assortment especially if there's something unusual amongst it, like the token.
cheers.  Tom.

Thanks again folks!!
This hobby of ours is somewhat addictive.  Me and Ron can't wait to get out again to see what the soil gives up during our searches.  Cheers and Happy Digging!!  Tom.
