This nice half crown came out with a heck of a dingdong!!!.
Just a few years difference between this find and the hammered !!... LOL.. :o ;D

Nice one - 1928 seems a popular year at the moment - my last three silvers are all 1928!

Thanks for the comments VAL,still a few finds left to show.
Val,i posted a couple of photos of what called Roman scale armour he other day
I've just googled up Roman scale armour and the likeness to the Google photo is quite remarkable!!also bearing in mind that it and a couple of other pieces have been found on my Roman field !!....what do you think.
I've emailed Mark Lodwick,still no reply.....!!!!

Hey Chris,  I have had similar pieces to yours and I've always believed them to be part of Roman armour  :-\ I will try and find them a post up if possible . In my opinion you your probably correct given you are on a Roman site, you can make out what looks like the 2 holes on the side for the attachment to the next piece...but don't be supprised if FLO wouldn't commit to a positive ID ... ;)
