That's a bit different Al what size is it as it looks smaller than a jetton or the lettering is a lot larger than normal ???
Oh and who told you it was a jetton?

In that case I would say it's too small for a jetton the only thing that springs to mind is an early Spanish coin of either James I or Alfonso I commonly called a crusader coin, they were billion and so the copper could have leached to the surface  ???
