Title: First picture of lead "lion" Post by: dingdong on August 05, 2015, 05:36:42 PM Hi Greg,and all,as promised,the first picture of the lead lion,sorry for the poor quality of the picture,I will endeavour to get something a bit better,it was detected on farmland in West Wales last week,and I might add,not by me but by my detecting buddy Andy,I think it could be made from a musket ball,well the weight's about the same,more information to follow,thanks for looking,and I await your comments

Ye, my mate found it near Llandovery, the FLO said it was c1700 decorative item,whatever that means. |
