Your local library would be your best bet on that one Rob, if you speak to the farmers most of them know where the drovers roads were in their area.

Rob, I am on the case. I have in my library and in my links pages on my home PC a comprehensive list of Roman Roads for the UK and a book somewhere on Drovers Roads in Wales. Are there any specific areas that you are interested in.

The book I have Kev is about Drovers routes from West Wales to London and the South Coast. It is a damn fine read but I cannot find it. It is by Joan  somebody and is a very thorough look at all of Wales. I will find it. Names you can look out for are pubs like the Weymouth Arms, the Drovers (obviously), the Maidenhead and also look on old maps for old places called the Pound and fields and lanes called Goose Lane, Silver Meadow or street, Pig or Duck lane or street. Hope this helps.
