Title: Medieval Part 6
Post by: celticspikey on May 29, 2015, 07:52:13 AM
Here are a few more pieces from yesterdays search, the top row was from another field close by. The warm weather is holding the maize back a bit so at least a few more visits hopefully, that said looking out the window now the rain is coming down so once the sun warms the ground up it will be up quickly 8) 8) ;)

Nice finds again Paul.   Your coin gave me something to look for.  Is it  an Edward 4th Irish penny.  Kept me busy for ages. ;D

I'm sure there are Colin, the problems finding them mate as you know, securing them and hoping no ones gave them a good going over in the past, lucky for me this field was Virgin until I got at it  ::) ::) ;) ;)

If it isn't an Irish one, it's certainly a 'local' issue :)

I see some extra pellets on the reverse, which usually means Irish - although as usually you can't read any of the legend!
