Title: anyone fancy an ID on this one??
Post by: dingdong on May 28, 2015, 04:36:44 PM
Found this a couple of weeks ago,it was/is still very, very, cruddy.
I have had the coin soaking in a very mild acidic solution since its finding, quite a lot of "crud" has come off,but as you can see its still in poor shape. The coin is defiantly copper, but what I find interesting is that there is  milled internal edge which is quite visible on one side
Size wise, the coin sits exactly into a 2new pence ,and about the same thickness,as for the detection, minelab "Sov GT".. Stock coil, found at a depth of
Eight(ish) inches
I await your comments, thanks for looking
