Title: Detectorists nominated for BAFTA Post by: proconsul on April 08, 2015, 10:01:48 AM The BBC comedy 'Detectorists' has been nominated for a BAFTA in the scripted comedy category. It is up against 'The Wrong Mans', 'Harry & Paul's Story of the Twos' and Sky One's 'Moone Boy'.

Title: Re: Detectorists nominated for BAFTA Post by: dingdong on April 09, 2015, 05:48:54 PM In my opinion "The Detectorists" did not do any thing for me,I thought it was very predictable from start to finish,also it depicted us as lot of eccentric middle aged metal detecting nerdies ,so in that respect not to far off the mark.I was recently told whilst out detecting a field ,that detectorists were a lot of frustrated olds who never made it as archeologist's,and you know, they are probably right,because that's exactly what I wanted to be,but it never happened.
