Title: Staffordshire Hoard
Post by: Radnor Bandit (Ian) on March 30, 2015, 04:46:15 PM
Myself and the better half went to Brum the other week, We go up fairly regularly and always go into the Museum to see the hoard.
As the exibition is free and changes as more of the artifacts come out of conservation its always worth calling in.
I can highly recommend it as the display improves everytime we visit. Especially as it is becoming more interactive for kids and young adults.
if you get a chance its well worth looking at. (and photographing the objects is not a problem and even encouraged!)
Heres a sellection of photos I took last time. Note the size of some of the pieces against the weave of the display cloth.

I agree its absolutely breathtaking, especially when your inches away from the artifacts....Dark ages ...I dont think so !
