Title: finds march 1st Post by: sharkey on March 01, 2015, 02:28:37 PM managed 3 hours out today, got rained off around 1 (that'll teach me not to take a coat lol). found a mini brooch (the Roman gods are looking after me lately!), my best william 3rd shilling to date, 5 or 6 half pennies, and buttons.
was using the garrett carrot for the first time, it worked well. quite easy to toggle through the features after you've done it a few times. it was an expensive purchase, but treated myself for missing out on so many digs recently due to work. only time will tell if it begins to go crazy like the previous pointers i've had, but has 2 year warranty so fingers crossed i'm ok for a while yet. although its fully waterproof, think i'm going to tape over that huge speaker vent, looks to be a mud magnet! im visiting the club land farmer this week with a map to nail down the fields we are allowed in. i will put up a google earth image as soon as i know. see you soon sharkey Title: Re: finds march 1st Post by: roaljodaka on March 01, 2015, 02:59:58 PM Nice finds andy ;)
