Title: First Club dig of 2015 - Report
Post by: Da Monkey on February 16, 2015, 11:52:59 AM
Sunday 15th February saw our first Club Dig of 2015.

The dig was well attended by members. 15 Acres in total was available to us, consisting of pasture and Orchards. The ground was obviously undetected, not heavily contanimated with junk and the digging was good. Although finds were slow, some good finds were made and everyone I talked to enjoyed the day, it was great to get out in the fresh air, meet folk and raise £110 for the local Hospice charity to boot :)

Thanks to Alun and his Aunt Angela for organising the venue and allowing us access to her land and for everyone who supported the day.

More Club digs are in the pipeline for this year and Tony has confirmed that some of his local farmers are happy for us to hold a dig on their land, so well done Tony :)   Members are reminded to keep up to date by visiting club meetings,  via email and the club website/members forum.

Some photos follow, feel free to add your own pictures of the day.

Good hunting,
- Andy
