Scammers are at it again, they never give up...   ::)

Look out for any emails supposedly from BT (ebilling@bt.com or no-reply@bt.com) that want you to update your card details or enter your password on a website.

Just had 2 emails here, both start

" Dear BT member,

You won't be able to use certain services until you've updated your BT profile for your most recent service fees. "

I have been getting about 6 a day and they get binned straight away. It's a pain in the proverbial as usual. AJ

I had a Email from a,Phillip1thomas on a Ebay Email type form who said that he had sent the watch a week ago and when was I going to send the money.
Has I have not bought a watch on Ebay,I clicked on the email and it looked like an Ebay sign in page, I was about to sign in on the form then realised that it was a scam to get my log in details.
I get lots of scam emails and am quite switched on and can spot them a mile off but this one nearly court me out.
So if you get a Email from someone who says you owe them money don't fall for it.if it doubt go to the web site and sign in from there
and if there is no record of the sale in your my Ebay page ignore it.

I defy anyone to beat my record.  We've been in the process of getting rid of BT but kept new and old EMail addresses going through the change over.
I checked the BT Email every few days and in a 3 day period I accumulated 193 spam mails.  Must admit most of them were from ASDA.  I was comparing prices one day, nothing more than that.  Heaven help anyone who actually orders anything.

Part of my missus job is Data Protection and they deal with scam emails quite a lot. she's told me that the main rule is that your bank (regardless of who it is) will NEVER ask you to sign in on an email that they have sent you. Similarly, there are scams out there from HMRC, Tesco and other big supermarkets.
When you get an email that you are not sure of, have a look at the sender details - either right click the email address or there may be a details box next to the address and it will show the path that the original email was sent from. you see that it has been re-directed from an address that has no relation to the actual company in the email title.

That explains my ASDA EMails. John had one from BT this afternoon and as he said he was pretty sure it was a scam being as we no longer have an account with BT  ::)   Doesn't stop them trying though, does it.
