Title: Military button id please
Post by: Tafflaff (Rob) on November 18, 2014, 08:25:15 PM
Researching a button I found today whilst out with Nobby and JCB (Why they call him JCB is beyond me as he barely digs deeper than 3 inches)

Anyhoo as I was saying whilst researching a Button which has a crowned 66 on it, I came across this text. Is this the same regiment ?

Its a slivered button, Crown above 66 and single line circle around both Crown and 66

Nice button. I think your ID is correct Rob - first half of 19th century or thereabouts.

Nice find Rob I wouldn't mind digging buttons all day if they had that sort of history ;)
