Title: new coil
Post by: legio11augustus on October 19, 2014, 05:25:17 PM
i decided to buy a new coil from a well known auction site, ive just bagged myself a job after being unemployed for a year so i thought ,hell i will treat myself to a 2nd hand coil.
being a tight wad i didnt want to go to mad as the month before i bought a set of chef phones(what a difference its made).
so i spotted a stealth x-12 for my explorer for a reasonable price and won it with a maiden bid.
with my new job i do a lot of travelling ,so i parked up fairly near to my home waiting for my job to come through on my app ,and spotted a field with the maize cropped.
so next day asked for permission but the farmer was reluctant, but said he had another field that had been cropped.
to be honest it was a horrible looking field buisnesses all built up around it and near the railway line,i was expecting tonns of scrap, and i wasnt wrong .
but 30 mins into the field i had a signal, and bamm! out popped my first ever gold coin.
if anyone can value this for me i would be grateful,so i can give the farmer his share because i would like to keep it

At the moment I can buy 1/2 sovs for between £90 - £95, and shield backs for between £95- £100 well  done on the find though

A real nice find Doug; were the chef phones worth the investment?
