Title: Found a roman @ monmouth :)

Had a great day Monmouth today i was so involved i stayed on until the bitter end.. and have killer sunburn to prove it.
but....it paid off because i found another Roman!  ::) Think its a Valentinianus I, date somewhere around 400ad. please correct me if I'm wrong.
also found lots of buttons and things.
All in all a fab day thank you!

I'd buy that for an id - apart from the date - should be more like 370AD :) - you would also have to say (unless it's very clear on the bust side so you can read it) that is should be 'house of Valentinian' - as several of his family members also issues coins with this reverese

Unfortunately the bust side has nothing to make out on it. Nice date too.older the better.:)
