Had a good day out last week and a big thanks to the man how lent me is shovel valley boy see lol  what a nice chap ,,,, trying to find out more about my finds thanks I d please

That looks somewhat like a Bronze Age axe? I wonder how far away this was found from the other hoard years ago.  Looks like a good find.

Jon that's a pound coin next to it :-\ how small do you think Bronze Age folk were???  ;D :D
I'm sticking with my first id at the rally of a broken awl ;)

Didn't even look at the size LOL sorry Chef. But that item is flanged though like an Axe, a very small one though? Didn''t even know it was shown at the rally, must have missed that in the report then. I thought an awl was pointed, not flanged like that?

A true Awl would definitely be pointed but the name seems to be used quite freely in archaeology and appears to be the Swiss Army knife of the Bronze Age ;D
