A man with a metal detector has found three unexploded mortar devices on land in Denbighshire North Wales Police said a safety cordon had been put around the area after the discovery between Llangollen and Rhos on Sunday afternoon. The metal detector enthusiast walked into a police station to tell officers about his find. Police have called in a specialist team of bomb disposal experts from Chester to deal with the devices. It may be worth pointing out that should the "Bomb Disposal" unit get called out, this is a FREE SERVICE & won't be billed to the landowner (this is what was worrying me the 1st time it happened) so it may be worth letting them know if you find something. |
