I’ve recently joined, had a look around and was surprised to find that I was already a member, having first subscribed in August 2009. On that occasion I was very warmly welcomed, people were asking about Mrs. John, offering buttons and generally wishing me well.
How embarrassing. Why I never answered or engaged with the forum, I don’t know. I have little excuse. About four years ago I had a lobotomy, so that could be the reason. ;D I can understand now why it took so long to approve my subscription – the administrators must have discussed, pontificated, shook their collective head in disbelief and decided that this old duffer deserved another chance. Thank you. So, here I am with a second wind. Even though I don’t actively swing any more, I am still involved in the hobby one way or another. I visit those digs with a chuck wagon so I can chat with people, keep a detecting blog and scribble on the subject. I intend this time to comment occasionally … am I forgiven?
