Ok here we have the Detecting Wales 2 day rally.

We are visiting the Ross on Wye farm for day one and available will be approximately 300 acres of mostly Arable fields. We had a mixed bag there last time and there will be more new fields this time. On day 2 we have a neighboring farm to visit. A new one to Detecting Wales - Details to follow.

The farmer has kindly offered us use of a field for camping and he also has his own bar where we can purchase refreshments from in the evening. There will also be a finds table in the bar where we can show the farmer a timescale of the finds. He and his family loved this last time and he is pleased for all members to keep their finds, although many of us donated the finds to his family last time.

We are hoping to have a bbq at the farm but details on this are sketchy at the moment. All food and alcohol will be at a cost but as yet I do not have all these details.

For those staying the night camping Deadlock will be running a bucket collection for Birmingham Childrens hospital, a hospital ver dear to the farmers family. This will be a voluntary donation for all rally goers and as we have not put it on the price of a ticket.


This will be a DetectingWales.com members only rally and I'm afraid everyone attending must be over 16 years of age. Usual terms and conditions apply. Everyone who attends does so at their own risk and we recommended that everyone has civil liability insurance. If you are a member of a club you will probably already have this. Please check.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

The location of the rally will be sent by private message to everyone who has signed up the day before the rally and the rally fee is £7.00 per day as normal.

Can u add Martyn Giffard, Micheal & Anthony Taylor down please for Sunday only no camping?

and whats the soil like ? how often ploughed ? and was it spuds grown?

Would love to come for the whole weekend - camping, bar etc..

Not driving so would appreciate a lift from the Cardiff area in return for petrol costs and/or entrance fee.

Saturday breakfast will start at 8am onwards
Sunday breakfast will start at 7:30 onwards
Token hunt will start at 4pm saturday.

BBQ will start at 7pm this will be burgers and hotdogs both at a cost of £2.50 each also the cost of a pint will be £2.50, All monies raised will go to the Birmingham Children's Hospital.
Ben offered camping for free however we feel a nominal fee of around £2.

I would like to make the Sunday rally but I am not yet sure if I can make it, what would the latest I can put my name down on the list before you send out the details. I didn't want to do that and then have to cancel again as I have had to do in the past !!
