Post by: Chef Geoff on July 23, 2014, 07:46:04 AM The lilac can often signal that it's silver, have you tried a bit of wet foil on it to test it? If it is silver then the size is about right for a groat and given it's in a pretty bad state then possibly a debased silver which may point to Henry VIII or Elizabeth ;)
