Ok, and about time.

I've had the nod from a farmer for a rally on 50 acres of barley stubble. As we all know, cropping season is very much guess work but as long as the weather stays relatively fair we will be good to go on the date. If the crop is not off in time we may have to push the date back by a week.

This farm, but not this field as I've never managed to get on this field has given up many very nice finds including a 12th Century Silver ring. :)

Garway is a lovely area fairplay and buzzin with interesting finds. Had a few nice bits off my permission up there and only visited the area twice. I'm still yet to find that knights templar ring tho  :P

I think I can get an ice cream van to attend the rally. Nobby and JCB had one a couple of days ago and they are stunning. Homemade about 100 metres from where we are detecting :)

hiya guys this maybe a stupid question but i have a really close friend who actually got me into metal detecting but has no excess to the internet so has never joined any detecting clubs or rallys but he would really like to join us on this rally would he have to sign up on DW or could he be a plus 1 ;D ;D ;D ;D

Hi Jimmi - Rally's are for Detecting wales members only, so he would indeed have to join the forum. I am afraid our rallies are not open to bringing guests.

With so many new members on DW , perhaps it's a good time to remind people that it is necessary to have NCMD or FID insurance to be able to attend rallies. I hope I'm not speaking out of turn and if I am ,then I give permission for the Moderators to slap me with a wet fish.

No it's not "necessary" but it is highly recommended....just off to buy a Haddock ;D

HIYA GUYS I,M TRAVELLING UP WITH A GROUP OF DW MEMBERS ME AND HAMMY ARE IN THE DEFO LIST BUT RUBA RELIC AND MUSKET ARE IN THE RESERVES
SO THEY HAVE BEEN ASKING ME IS IT WORTH THEM RISKING IT COMING OR ISNT THERE ANY POINT IN COMING BECAUSE WE WOULD LIKE TO DO IT AS A GROUP

*IMPORTANT*

Due to the weather being so warm, the rally date will have to be brought forward by a week to the 27th July 2014.

The weather was always going to play a part in the proceedings but little did we know it would be so nice as to bring the date forward.

Please take your name off the list if you can no longer make it, if you can still make it , no need to do or say anything.
