Hi Doc

out today and i picked this little gem up, albeit 5mm below the surface.

i've no idea as to who it is .... any info is much appreciated indeed

Nice find, I do like the portrait on them but hopeless at giviing an id. Well done again.

needs a bit of spit and foil to bring out the letters could be Willem monyer???

Well found Alan. I believe the moneyer is Henri, but that doesn't help much. The double-barred 'N' might indicate class 6c2 and Canterbury mint, but I couldn't be certain on that.

The obverse is unfortunately too far gone to make out anything.
