But depth isn't everything! Plenty of YouTube videos showing what they're capable of. Like any machine - only as good as the user. The pasture was very hard where I detected and I struggled to dig down to 12 inches without killing myself or my spade. Too often I struggled to discriminate out the iron so I lost heart with it, probably because I was used to easy machines like the T2. Sold it for a good price after 6 months.
