Title: any idea what this is??
Post by: handyman [Alan} on April 23, 2014, 04:15:13 PM
hi everyone

my colleague was out detecting today and found this interesting object. He tells me that It is about the size of an old penny and unmarked on the otherside.   The centre hole appears to be square, with a smaller hole towards the top.

any suggestions would be appreciated

cheers

I reckon it's a drawer handle escutcheon, like this one maybe.

Yes it's an example of what happens when you have your camera's white balance set on tungsten and shoot in daylight ;D ;D ;D

totally agree with Val. Its the escutcheon surround to a drawer handle. The square centre hole is where the hanging/pull bit goes through the drawer and the pin type hole is to stop the whole thing slipping round and marking the outside of drawer
