Title: Last Of The Ancient Treasure Trove Inquests On The I.O.M.!
Post by: Spooyt Vane on April 12, 2014, 10:48:30 AM
The Isle Of Man is last in Britain to retain its ancient law on Treasure Trove..That is about to change this year with a consultation paper that will be coming out shortly with a aim hopefully to bring to update with a similar act of England  & Wales. But history will be made next Wednesday 16th with three of last treasure troves under the old law. All by detectorists..Will.give you details after the inquest. But delighted to say one of the objects is my find :)

My find was a gold medieval Bishop"s ring that was dated medieval and a very nice photo on ....wwwthreefm/news/isle-of-man-news/treasure-trove-inquests..
It was deemed to be treasure trove alongside a Bishop"s silver seal..A hoard of 119 silver hammered pennies of edward 1st/2nd and Alexander 111 of Scotland and a Viking gold ingot..Very nice finds indeed :) :)
