Cheers Paul ;) Title: Re: Detecting Software Post by: Dylan on December 19, 2013, 04:36:05 PM I have designed my own database using Microsoft Access but this software does take a bit (or maybe a lot!) of learning and it's quite expensive unless you get a 'student' version like I did. However once you've mastered it is very useful. My database lets me produce any sort of report I want as I log everything in there - type of find, location (using farm names and field numbers or GPS position), value of the items, photographs of them, PAS details etc etc. Each year I print out reports for the farmers showing just what I have found on their land and I couldn't do this without a database.
I have had a look at a couple of other databases available on the web - the one from Minelab and "I-Detect Community". These are ok but because I'm always thinking of new ways to analyse my data I have stuck with my Access database. Shame I cant get it to work. Ive just spent 2 hours watching the vids and downloading but it wont work for me. |
