Title: Recent Find
Post by: 150aceboy on December 07, 2013, 10:38:02 PM
Hi all,
Found this coin about a fortnight ago, Vicky Halfcrown 1844, a first for me.
Could'nt put it on sooner as camera was playing up  >:(
Not a great picture as i have already put it in a coin pouch which makes picture a bit blurred.
Cheers Paul.

Cheers guys  ;)

Forgot to mention, when i found this coin, i arrived at the field and thought i'd have a cuppa first then start detecting.
I poured my tea, lit a fag, and for some reason switched on my detector.
The detector went crazy, thinking my shovel was too close to the coil i kicked the shovel out of the way, but still the detector was ringing.
I moved the coil the ringing stopped. I finished my tea and decided to dig and thats what popped out of the hole a lovely Vicky Halfcrown , and i had'nt moved off the spot  ;D ;D

Fantastic - although I'm from a 'roman' background, I just love finding milled silver - I'd be well chuffed to bits finding that!
