Title: what does it mean!
Post by: monkeymad on October 03, 2013, 07:36:53 AM
I have just been given a huge permission somewere in the uk with 2 scheduled monuments on two fields marked on a ministry ag map with a border which I know all about.

However it has another 36 fields with 27 unscheduled ancient monuments around and in them. Now the farmer still uses these fields and has never been told not too unlike the other 2 but what does it mean for us detecting? He says its fine as long as I dont go near the 2 scheduled ones which I already knew. I have looked around the net and only real info I can find relates to scotland which says its fine unless it has been written to the farmer otherwise as sometimes there are conditions.  Asked him and he says he has only ever been told about the 2 scheduled and 1 unscheduled to stay clear of.

any ideas on this please as to where I can detect etc. Its a bit confusing.
