to detect the dog walking fields, {much to the annoyance of my wife }. All the sites said yes, and one even owned an extra 200 acres of pasture which they suggested I try. The limited amount of time that I had there meant that I couldn't take them up on their kind offer this time , but roll on next summer. Title: Re: off season caravan parks Post by: congerman on August 14, 2013, 02:50:59 PM I did A couple of campsites last winter found tent pegs ring pulls and a lot of decimals + mobile phone batteries as well of loads of AA +AAA batteries but will be back on them this winter worth A try as its been hot all summer and they have been busy the owner was made up when I gave him about 12 toilet block keys back I had been finding which the campers had lost or not returned ;)

Just the response I was hoping for ;D I have downloaded google earth read some stuff then read some more......... kit nearly all sorted and trying to decide where to make the start early next week for the official "popping the cherry" of my Garret.... ring pulls, cans, lead weights, ear tags whatever it will all weigh in nicely One day ;D a pile of lead here, a mountain of ally there ;D going to see the farmer at the back of us and see if I can get a formal "Perm" to search for "juice" personally anything found is something I found ??? Title: Re: off season caravan parks Post by: Goldpanner on August 22, 2013, 09:35:07 AM Back in the 90's early on in the year we were off to pick up the wifes new car. Decided to book a campsite for the night so she wouldnt have to drive too long in a new car.
Got to the campsite and it was empty as it was too early in the season. Campsite cost us £10 for the night. I always pack my detector so asked for permission to plod around the site? No problems. 2 hours later £12 in cash and a gold ring which I gave to the site manager. Paid for the camping !! |
